Stressed to the max? Yeah… that’s keeping weight glued to your body.

Yesterday I talked about restricting calories and how it prevents weight loss. It’s because your body is stressed out since you’re not feeding her/him.

Cortisol is the stress hormone. You’ve probably heard that stress makes you gain weight. And if the stress of lockdown added the quarantine-15, you know what I’m talking about.

But, “just stress less. Take a chill pill,” is crappy advice. It’s much easier said than done.

Here are some things that actually will work to help you reduce stress and get the scale moving again:

  • Take a walk
  • Meditation
  • Breath work
  • Painting/coloring
  • Watching a funny movie
  • Puzzles
  • Listen to music
  • Dance
  • Go for a drive
  • Journal
  • Stretch
  • Workout
  • Get experimental in the kitchen
  • CONNECT – with a friend or family member
  • Bubble bath

These are free things that can reduce your stress!
